Bad Love

Genevieve Elise Silva, 20, has been arrested for rape using illegal drugs and concealing a child after she was caught at her mother's house in Oklahoma with a 15 year-old boy. She allegedly met the boy over the summer in California through the boy's brother, and she started giving him ecstasy and meth, having sex with him, and persuaded him to run away with her.

Genevieve is also featured in some terrible looking online porn.

The 15 year-old is now in rehab after his dad found out he was in Oklahoma with this lady. He had apparently been bragging to his friends that he was doing it with a porn star. But kid, she's one un-sexy porn star. She's only 5 years older than he is, but those five years make the difference between a sort of dirty coming of age story and statutory rape.

The Siren Song of Sex With Boys is in the "Ideas and Trends" section. It covers most of our usual suspects, and includes this interesting factoid: A federal Department of Education study called "Educator Sexual Misconduct," released last year, found that 40 percent of the educators who had been reported for sexual misconduct with students were women. UPDATE: While female teachers may make up a significant percentage of those getting into bad love situations with students, I think it's worth noting that only 4% of all child molestation cases are perpetrated by women. [source USA Today] -Amy
